Welcome To Whakatane Bridge Club
We are a friendly club situated in the eastern Bay of Plenty region. We offer four sessions of organised bridge at our clubrooms in Whakatane. Call 07 304-8844 for more info. Whakatane is affiliated to NZ Bridge – the official national body for bridge in NZ - so our members participate in local Interclub competitions and are eligible to compete in tournaments at other affiliated Clubs in NZ.
Announcements
We had a very successful Melbourne Cup with 12 tables; we raised $715 for the SPCA. Thanks to everyone for making the day a success
Last Friday night 20 of us took part in the national LoveBlock tournament. Sally Shaw and Christine Wood took out the top mixed grade and came 5th out of 890 which is an amazing result. It follows Sue Gordon and Gerda Corporaal winning the top junior prize last year and coming third overall out of 846 pairs. We hope more of you will join us next year.
And now we prepare for the Christmas Party. The list is up on the board and raffle box awaits your offerings. We hope to have 6 different raffle draws this year.
Please offer to help in the kitchen for set up/clean up at the Xmas party otherwise this task falls too heavily on your overworked committee. Ali Barr will be happy to take your names.

Please be seated 15 minutes before start time for set-up and announcements.
Table fee is $5 for members and $7 for non-members.
